These limited-time activities are a fun way to add something extra to your park day without needing to plan a big sit-down meal or wait in another long attraction line. I especially love that several of these offerings give families a chance to see characters, enjoy entertainment, and get a little break from the summer heat.

If you are visiting Walt Disney World this summer, make sure to pick up one of the special COOL KIDS’ SUMMER maps at the entrance of each theme park. These maps were made just for kids, and they are a fun way to help little ones feel involved in the day’s plans. Happening now through September 8, 2026!

What Is COOL KIDS’ SUMMER at Walt Disney World?

COOL KIDS’ SUMMER is a summer celebration at Walt Disney World with special kid-friendly entertainment and activities throughout the parks. You will find different offerings at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, along with other summer fun around Walt Disney World.

This is especially helpful if you are visiting during the hottest months of the year. These experiences give families something fun to do between rides, and several of them are great for younger kids who love characters, music, dancing, and interactive activities.

Jessie’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom

At Magic Kingdom, head over to Frontierland for Jessie’s Roundup. This Toy Story-inspired experience is full of playful energy, singing, dancing, games, and character fun.

This is a great stop if you have Toy Story fans in your group or if your kids need a break from walking through the park. Frontierland is already such a fun area for families, and Jessie’s Roundup adds a cheerful summer activity that is easy to work into a Magic Kingdom day.

We loved seeing how much energy this offering had. It is the kind of thing that can help bring a little spark back into the day when everyone is hot and starting to slow down. As a bonus, this one didn’t seem all that busy and we were able to walk right in!

GoofyCore at EPCOT

EPCOT has its own COOL KIDS’ SUMMER offering called GoofyCore, located in CommuniCore Hall. This experience is centered around Goofy’s Game Machine and includes silly, playful activities with DJ DANCE PANTS and the GOOF TROOP.

This is a nice option for families visiting EPCOT in the summer because CommuniCore Hall gives you a spot to step inside and take a break from the heat. EPCOT can feel like a lot of walking with kids, especially in warm weather, so I always appreciate having an indoor activity to add to the day.

GoofyCore is a good fit for younger kids who like music, games, and interactive entertainment. It also works well as a break between attractions, snacks, or time in World Showcase.

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! at Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has a really fun summer offering for younger kids with Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! This is located in the newly refreshed Animation Courtyard area and brings Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their pals together for a Clubhouse party with music and dancing.

This is one of the offerings that is especially helpful for families with preschoolers or Disney Jr. fans. Hollywood Studios has some big-ticket attractions, but it is always nice to have something that feels very intentionally made for the younger kids in your group.

The Animation Courtyard area is also a great place to check for characters and take a break from the busier parts of the park. If you have little ones, this is definitely worth adding to your Hollywood Studios plan.

Bluey’s Wild World at Animal Kingdom

One of the biggest draws of COOL KIDS’ SUMMER is Bluey’s Wild World at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This experience takes place at Conservation Station and gives families a chance to play and dance with Bluey and Bingo.

This one is going to be very popular, especially with younger kids and families who love Bluey. In addition to the Bluey and Bingo fun, this area also ties in well with Animal Kingdom’s focus on animals and nature.

I have a full article all about Bluey’s Wild World at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so be sure to read that if this is one of your must-do experiences for the summer.

Why Families Will Love These Summer Activities

The best part about COOL KIDS’ SUMMER is that these activities give families more ways to enjoy the parks without everything revolving around rides. During a summer Disney trip, you need those little breaks built into the day.

These offerings are great for:

  • Seeing a variety of characters
  • Giving younger kids something made just for them
  • Taking a break from long attraction lines
  • Adding more entertainment into the day
  • Finding indoor or shaded activities during hot weather
  • Letting kids move, dance, and play

If you are visiting during June, July, August, or early September, I would plan to work at least one of these activities into each park day. They are easy to pair with other summer strategies like taking midday breaks, choosing air-conditioned meals, and packing lightweight clothing.

Tips for Enjoying COOL KIDS’ SUMMER

Before you head into the parks, pick up the COOL KIDS’ SUMMER map near the entrance. It is a fun little extra for kids and can help you spot the special activities happening in each park.

I would also check the My Disney Experience app during your visit. Entertainment times and locations can change, and the app is the best place to confirm what is happening that day.

Here are a few simple tips:

  • Go earlier in the day if your kids have the most energy in the morning.
  • Use these activities as a mid-day break from rides.
  • Bring cooling towels, fans, and plenty of water.
  • Plan indoor meals or snack breaks nearby when possible.
  • Let kids help choose which COOL KIDS’ SUMMER activity they want to do first.

A little bit of planning goes a long way during a summer Disney trip. The heat can be a lot, but these activities are a fun way to keep the day feeling special.
