EPCOT International Festival of the Arts (2024)
As the new year kicks off, so does a new festival at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT theme park! The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts brings artistic food, entertainment, and merchandise to the theme park.
This festival is a great fit if your family wants to enjoy an EPCOT festival at a relatively “slower” time of year, in cooler weather, with lots of artistic flair!

It had been a few years since I had made it to Festival of the Arts, so I was glad to be able to squeeze in a trip in 2024 to enjoy the sights and sounds of this imaginative festival.
The Festival of the Arts features delightful food choices only available this time of year, special entertainment like Broadway song performances, many art booths with prints for sale, and live chalk drawings. These activities give the festival a distinct feeling all its own to make it different from the other events that happen at EPCOT throughout the year.
The festival mascot is Figment, the curious little dragon with big heart and lots of curiosity! I had a great time fashioning my outfit after this cute character, and all of the items are pieces I will rewear after I’m back home as well.

We of course spent a good amount of time trying out the different treats at the festival I came up with some clear favorites!
If you’re visiting with small children there are special scavenger hunts you can complete with them, and in my opinion this festival offers the most child friendly food options as well. (Everything is bright and colorful, how can you not love it?!?) This paintable cookie is also the perfect option to allow your kids to play with their food!
Festival of the Arts Offerings
EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts highlights everything with artistic flair. If you love bright colors and seeing all different types of art, this is the festival for you! This is one of the most family friendly festivals in my opinion, with lots to do for the whole family and food what should appeal to a wide section of visitors.
In addition to a theme park full of colorful decor with artistic flair, there are special Broadway performances, sidewalk entertainment, as always one of the highlights of all EPCOT festivals – is the unique food offerings!
EPCOT Festival of the Arts Food Kiosks
At the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, you can find a variety of food kiosks offering creative treats inspired from locations around the globe.
Some of the popular kiosks include the Pop Eats! The Deconstructed Dish, The Craftsman’s Courtyard, Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey, among others.
Each kiosk showcases unique dishes and beverages that highlight flavors prominent in the region, providing guests with a vibrant culinary experience.
My favorites at Festival of the Arts were:
- Pop Eats! (Try the tomato soup!)
- Deco Delights (This is also a place you can go to get the completer treat!)
- The Deconstructed Dish (Bite size never looked so good!)
- Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey (Everything here is adorable!)
- The Craftman’s Courtyard (Another stand I returned to multiple times!)
I returned to multiple times to Pop Eats! for the tomato soup with grilled cheese (3x actually!!), and we also got multiple servings of the Neopolitan Dessert Trio on different days… so needless to say these were all the biggest hits!
For me the Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey stand was the hands down winner and highlight of the festival food, because the desserts there are so synonymous with this festival. Make sure to try the rainbow cake, it’s delicious!
I thought the pastry tart was good and it got mixed reviews in our party, as some of our travelers preferred the tarts from Woody’s Lunch Box in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The one divisive item in our group was the Grape Smoothie. I was the only person in our group that could stand drinking this one, and after much debate we finally settled that it tasted like the 90s childhood medicine staple, “Dimetapp”, of which I was the only person that liked the taste of it. So apparently if you dislike the taste of “Dimetapp”… there stands a good chance you’re going to dislike the Grape Smoothie as well!
I did find a number of other favorites throughout the World Showcase, the Passion Fruit-filled Mango Cheesecake from Vibrante and Viviado and Ichigo Mochi- Daifuku from Goshiki in Japan are two dishes I would absolutely try again.
Our entire travel party also enjoyed the Beef Wellington from Cuisine Classique, it was one we would have returned, if time permitted. And the Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak from The Craftsman’s Courtyard was also a hit!
EPCOT Festival of the Arts Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine
The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is the guided list to try a number of treats in the back your Festival of the Arts passport. After purchasing five of the treats and getting your passport stamped, you get this fun completer treat as a complimentary festival treat!
This is such fun way to sample a selection of the festival treats while exploring EPCOT. We found it easy to complete this passport and everyone was able to get a completer treat!
In addition to the scavenger hunt that you can do around the World Showcase, this passport activity is fun for kids to enjoy during their time at EPCOT.
Plan Your Day at EPCOT
EPCOT is a great theme park that has a lot of offerings and will take a full day to do all that there is to do in every area of the theme park. It tends to be slightly less busy at this time of year after you get past the holidays, so it is a great time to really explore all that the countries around the World Showcase each have to offer.
You’ll also want to check out the newly opened CommuniCore area that frames out Spaceship Earth as you’re headed towards the front of the park from the World Showcase.
During your visit to the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, my recommended touring option would be to spend a good portion of the day in the World Showcase trying out the festival treats, and opting for the many quick service options over dining reservations. Since we were at EPCOT multiple days, we did take time one day to do a dining reservation at Via Napoli in Italy.

Activities for Little Ones at EPCOT
KidCot is an interactive activity designed for young visitors at EPCOT. At various locations around the World Showcase, children can stop at KidCot stations to receive a complimentary cardboard Duffy the Disney Bear or other character cutout and decorate it with special stamps and markers.
Additionally, they can interact with cultural representatives from different countries, who share stories and traditions from their respective homelands. It’s a fun and educational way for kids to engage with the diverse cultures represented at EPCOT.
If you’re visiting during Festival of the Arts, Figment’s Brush with the Masters can be purchased for $9.99 (plus tax) at one of the participating locations: Creations Shop, Disney Traders, World Traveler, Port of Entry, Gateway Gifts, and other locations around the World Showcase. It is a fun and interactive way to go through the World Showcase and have your little ones explore along the way.
After you find all of art inspired locations, fill up your map and bring it back into a participating store for a prize! This year’s prize is an adorable painting set that you can bring home with you!
There’s also a fun mural that guests can take their turn to help make a masterpiece! Paint your individual squares on the mural and after all of the squares have been filled up, it turns into a festival specific work of art!
This is a fun activity for kids of all ages, and while supplies last you receive a keepsake image of what the image will look like. It is the perfect size for kids to use as a bookmark!
