It’s an out of this world bar experience that transports you straight into the Star Wars universe. With its galactic decor, funky drinks, and pulsing beats courtesy of DJ R-3X, this immersive lounge is a must-see for Star Wars fans!

Before you grab a reservation, there are a few things to know before booking, especially if you’re visiting with kids or expecting it to be a part of your dining.

What is Oga’s Cantina?
Oga’s Cantina is a Star Wars themed bar located in Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Designed to look like a local watering hole in the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu, the Cantina is brimming with character and details fans of the franchise will love.

This location is more about the atmosphere and vibes rather than dining. It is a true cantina experience. It’s enjoyable for Star Wars fans, but if you’re not all that into Star Wars or looking for a meal experience, this location may not be the best fit.

It should be noted that seating is limited within the cantina, and most of the tables are standing room only. This may be an issue if you have younger children along. They do have some booths along the walls. However these are typically reserved for larger parties of 6 people or more.
Oga’s Cantina Menu Options
The menu at Oga’s Cantina is really focused on the drink selection. As the name suggests, this is a cantina lounge experience and you shouldn’t go in expecting it to be as filling as a meal.

We found the appetizers to be quite light here as well. And while there are other lounges that I love to stop in for a light lunch, notably Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom is one of the best for small bites, Oga’s Cantina doesn’t offer as much in the way of food.

There are only four snacks available on the menu: Happabore Sampler, Thruster Roaster Bantha Flatbread, Batuu Bits, and Umbaran Cheese Roll. Which is actually TWO more options than was available on some of our previous visits. The rest of the menu includes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic specialty drinks.

Just go into this one knowing it isn’t a meal, and it’s more for the ambiance.
Reservations and Planning
Reservations for Oga’s Cantina have gotten easier to come by as more people have done this experience and know whether it works for their family or not.

If this is a “must do” during your trip, make sure to get dining reservations at your 60 day mark to ensure that you get your desired time to dine.

If you decide to do this one at the last minute, I often see reservations available within a week of the dining date available over the past year. Especially if you’re flexible on what time you want to be there. There’s also a waitlist you can put your name on if you’re currently in the theme park.
Pricing at Oga’s Cantina
Pricing at Oga’s Cantina falls in line with what you’d expect from a themed lounge at Walt Disney World. Most specialty cocktails range from $15 to $18, with non-alcoholic drinks typically around $7 to $12.

If you’re ordering one of the souvenir mugs or specialty glasses (which are fun but pricey), expect to pay upwards of $30 to $40 for a drink that includes the collectible cup. The light appetizers like Batuu Bits or the Happabore Sampler are priced around $10 to $20, but the portions are small. Keep in mind there’s a two drink maximum per guest and a 45 minute time limit per reservation.
My Preferred Lounges at Disney World
There are a number of other lounges that I feel like have a better overall experience and better range of food available. Two of my favorites right now are Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They have a great menu of sharable plates and a nice drink selection.

Another favorite is Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Polynesian Village Resort. (Kids may enter this one prior to 8pm.) This lounge experience is quite hard to get into, as reservations cannot be made for this one. You’ll need to get your name on the waitlist to hold your spot. With return times up to 3-5 hours after you put your name on the list and a list that often closes, that one is a whole process to learn about if you’re interested in checking it out.
Rating Oga’s Cantina at Hollywood Studios
Our family is full of Star Wars fans. We have done every special experience in Galaxy’s Edge. Including making a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop and droids at the Droid Depot. We even took a tour on the now closed Galactic Starcruiser!

So we enjoy Star Wars, and spend a lot of time in Galaxy’s Edge when we are at Hollywood Studios.
All that being said, we rate Oga’s Cantina as a 3 out of 5 stars. While the atmosphere is neat… the menu falls a bit short for us. Also for immersive lounge experience we much prefer the relaxing space of the Hyperspace Lounge on the Disney Wish cruise ship.

Oga’s Cantina can be loud, dark, packed, and has a short list of appetizer options on the menu. We typically leave this one hungry. It falls into our “one and done” category of Disney dining options. Places that are neat to try, but we don’t return to often. (If ever!)
If you’re a Star Wars fan, this may be something you’ll want to make sure to get on your itinerary. However, if the limited seating is an issue or you’ll have young children along, even as Star Wars fans we almost always would skip this experience in favor of a different dining option at Hollywood Studios.

If you’re looking for a Star Wars immersive dining experience, there are some great quick service options over at Docking Bay 7 and at Ronto Roasters before 3pm. These are two stops we frequent on our trips and just genuinely prefer over getting a reservation at Oga’s Cantina.
