GEO-82 EPCOT Review: Is Disney’s New Adults-Only Lounge Worth a Visit?
Disney fans are always looking for new and exciting experiences around Walt Disney World, and EPCOT’s newest addition, GEO-82, is something a little different! It’s an adults only lounge designed for guests ages 21 and up. While we typically focus on family friendly fun, this upscale lounge caught my attention as a potential Disney date night spot or a fun place to meet up with Disney friends.

On our recent trip, we visited in the middle of our EPCOT day and these were my thoughts for adults with kids maybe looking at this as a potential option for a fun Disney date night!

Along with some of the highlights, we share who this experience would be best for! And some of our preferred experiences I will likely visit again before this one!
A New Adults Only Experience at EPCOT
Located inside EPCOT, GEO-82 brings a modern and sophisticated feel to the park’s lineup of lounges. It’s important to note right away that GEO-82 is strictly for guests 21 and older, so this is not a spot to visit with the kids in tow. Instead, it’s meant for adults to unwind, enjoy a crafted drink, and take in the beautiful views overlooking the World Celebration area at EPCOT.

The interior has a clean, contemporary design, with large windows with a great view facing the World Showcase lagoon. Making it a lovely setting for a relaxing break or a romantic evening out.
Where to Find GEO-82
You can find GEO-82 inside EPCOT’s World Celebration neighborhood, near the heart of the park. It’s located within the CommuniCore Hall area, making it a convenient stop whether you’re exploring attractions or heading toward World Showcase.

The entrance is tucked away, giving it a bit of an exclusive feel. Head to the exit of Spaceship Earth on the Journey of Water side, and you’ll see signs to enter GEO-82 lounge. Once inside, you check in with a desk downstairs and are able to take the stairs or the elevator up to the main floor.

Because it’s a 21 and up location, make sure you have a valid photo ID ready when checking in.

Here you’re greeted by a lobby area with seating that is enough for three to four groups. Your hosts on this second floor will let you know when your seating is available, and take you into the main lounge area.
GEO-82 Atmosphere and Experience
GEO-82 offers a relaxing break from the busier areas of EPCOT. It feels sleek and elevated, and I loved the themed decor inside. There are large windows overlooking EPCOT and the decor is inspired by Spaceship Earth. With geodesic sphere designs all throughout the lounge.

I prefer the atmosphere that is a bit more immersive at some of my other favorite Disney lounges though.
If you love the energy and storytelling of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or the charm of The Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom, GEO-82 may feel a bit more subdued.

That said, the view from the lounge is lovely, especially during the day. But what really stood out to me was imagining how incredible it would be to come back at night for the EPCOT fireworks.
With those big windows looking out over EPCOT towards the lagoon, the nighttime view would be stunning and make this a perfect Disney date night location.
What We Ordered at GEO-82
During my visit, I went with a Disney friend to sample a few of the menu items. We decided to share the Charcuterie Board and the Funghi Flatbread, and both dishes were delicious.

For my drink, I tried the Peach Scrub Whisky Smash, which sounded refreshing and unique. However, it ended up being a miss for me, I didn’t really care for the flavor combination and I would not order it again. It was not really what I would call a fruity drink and wasn’t smooth in my opinion either.

My friend ordered a Manhattan in the Morning mocktail, and it is also not something that I would order on a return trip. I ended up ordering a Diet Coke to finish with my meal.

It should be noted that I’m more of a “fruity cocktail” type of person, and most of the drink menu just seemed to be too heavy of an alcohol focus for me. If you like a whiskey or bourbon drink, you should be able to find something you’ll like here.
Rating GEO-82 at EPCOT
Overall, GEO-82 is a nice addition to EPCOT for adults looking for something new. The food was solid, the ambiance was relaxing, and the views were impressive. While I didn’t love my drink or the drink options, the food was worth stopping in again sometime in the future. GEO-82 also would make an interesting choice for a special night out.

During the day, however, I don’t think it’s worth taking time away from the rest of your EPCOT adventures. Especially when the festival kiosks available throughout most of the year around World Showcase offer so many fun and flavorful drink options.

If you’re planning a date night at EPCOT, this could be one to consider for the fireworks view and a relaxed atmosphere. But for now, I’ll likely be more apt to stop into one of my other preferred lounges like The Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom or Trader Sam’s at Polynesian Village Resort.
Make sure that if you plan this into your itinerary you like a heavier bourbon or whiskey drink, and remember that it is only for ages 21 and up!
