The Plaza Restaurant | Magic Kingdom Dining

If you’re looking for a sit-down meal at Magic Kingdom that is reasonably priced, The Plaza Restaurant is a fantastic option. Located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., this charming, vintage-style eatery feels like a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the theme park.

While the menu is on the smaller side, the selections we tried were delicious. This was a dining reservation that I didn’t have any expectations going into it, and was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it!

And the reasonable prices make it a great value compared to many other table service options at Disney World.

Overview of The Plaza Restaurant

The Plaza Restaurant has a charming aesthetic. The decor reflects turn of the century charm with a light and airy feel. It’s the perfect place to take a break from the Florida heat and crowds while still feeling immersed in the Disney magic.

This will help you as you’re planning your dining to find the options that are the best fit for your family.

The Plaza Restaurant itself is relatively small, which gives it a cozy, intimate feel, which is especially nice for families who want a quieter sit-down meal.

The Plaza Restaurant Menu Selections

One thing to note: the menu at The Plaza is on the smaller side. But don’t let that deter you! What the menu lacks in size, it makes up for in quality. We found every dish we ordered to be flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared.

I had the Chicken Waldorf Salad, which was one of the best salads I had ever ordered at Walt Disney World! (And that is saying a LOT!) I would return here just to order this again.

From classic burgers to classic salad options, there is something comforting and satisfying about the offerings here. And if you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss the chance to order one of their hand-dipped milk shakes.

Reservations and Planning

We were able to get a reservation here on fairly short notice, and they seem to pop up fairly regularly. That being said, you’ll want to get a reservation ahead of time so you know you can dine at your desired time. Or especially if you have a large party, you’ll need to make sure there is room since this is a smaller dining room area.

You can book a reservation through the My Disney Experience app, the Disney World website, or by calling Disney Dining up to 60 days (plus length of stay for Disney Resort guests) in advance.

While same-day reservations or walk-ups may sometimes be available, they are not guaranteed, so securing a spot early is the best way to ensure your preferred dining time.

If you’re unable to find a reservation at your preferred time, use a reservation alert service like MouseDining to notify you when a spot opens up.

Menu Pricing at The Plaza Restaurant

The pricing of the meal was one of the highlights! In a theme park where dining can easily be hundreds of dollars for your family to dine at a table service restaurant, The Plaza offers a more budget-friendly table service experience.

The prices are very reasonable for Disney standards, making it a great value for families or anyone looking for a relaxing break without a hefty bill.

Entrees were priced in the $17 to $26 range, and appetizers were all around $10-$15. Leave room for dessert and those all reasonably priced under $10 as well.

Rating The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I was pleasantly surprised by my meal here, and it gets 5 stars because of the outstanding value of the meal. The ambiance was lovely and we had a great seat near the window where we could enjoy a view of the castle.

It felt like a quiet and tucked away retreat that was just steps from Main Street, U.S.A. and I really enjoyed the entire ambiance here.

From hearty sandwiches to rich milkshakes, The Plaza offers comfort food done right. It’s definitely a spot I will return to on future trips! And I think this makes a great location for families looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a meal.
