Spice Road Table | EPCOT Dining Review

Spice Road Table at EPCOT is a beautiful table service restaurant in the Morocco Pavilion with Mediterranean-inspired small plates, a great drink menu, and one of the prettiest views in World Showcase. I love stopping by here for a relaxing late afternoon appetizer with views of the lake.

This is one of those EPCOT restaurants that works especially well when you want something lighter than a full sit-down meal, but you still want to take a break and enjoy the atmosphere. Spice Road Table is a great spot for sharing small plates, ordering a drink, and relaxing by the water.

I especially love stopping here when EPCOT does not have a festival going on, or when my group wants to share a few appetizers instead of having a full meal. It is casual, pretty, and easy to enjoy without feeling like you need a big dining experience.

Overview of Spice Road Table at EPCOT

Spice Road Table is located in the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase. The restaurant sits along World Showcase Lagoon, which makes it a lovely place to enjoy a meal or drinks with a view.

This restaurant is known for Mediterranean-inspired small plates, indoor and outdoor seating, and a casual but beautiful atmosphere. Disney describes the location as having Moroccan accents, outdoor seating, light breezes, and Mediterranean flavors throughout the restaurant.

Unlike some EPCOT table service restaurants, Spice Road Table does not feel overly formal. It is a nice in-between option when you want to sit down, enjoy the view, and order something a little more elevated than a quick-service meal.

It is especially nice for adults, couples, friend groups, or families who enjoy sharing different dishes. If your group likes to order several small plates and try a little bit of everything, this is a fun restaurant to consider.

Spice Road Table Menu Selections

The menu at Spice Road Table is centered around Mediterranean small plates, which makes it a great option for sharing. Instead of each person needing to order a large entrée, your table can choose a few different dishes and try a variety of flavors.

Some of the current small plates include Spice Road Table Bread Service, Spiced Lamb Kefta, Spicy Shrimp, House-made Hummus Fries, Crispy Pomegranate-Chili Cauliflower, and Chicken Bastilla.

A favorite here is the Spice Road Table Bread Service, which comes with hummus, zaalouk, chermoula, marinated olives, and za’atar. This is a great starter for the table and one of the best things to order if you enjoy bread service at Disney restaurants.

The Spicy Shrimp is another favorite and is currently listed with chili, garlic, and peri peri sauce. It is a flavorful small plate and a good choice if you want something with a little kick.

The drink menu is also part of the appeal here. There are options like the Pomegranate Mimosa, Moroccan Mule, Housemade Sangria, Mediterranean Beer, and Maeloc Strawberry Hard Cider at the Spice Road Table Bar.

One of my favorites here is the Hibiscus Mimosa, which is a lovely drink option if you want something pretty and refreshing while enjoying the view.

As always, menu items can change, so I recommend checking the current menu on Disney’s website before your visit. One of my favorite parts of this dining location is that their menu has remained steady over the years so I can return and order my favorites!

Atmosphere at Spice Road Table

The atmosphere is one of the biggest reasons to dine at Spice Road Table. The restaurant is located right along the water in EPCOT’s World Showcase, giving it a beautiful view of World Showcase Lagoon.

This is a great place to slow down during your EPCOT day. The outdoor seating area is especially nice when the weather is comfortable, and the restaurant has a relaxed feel that works well for drinks and light bites.

The design has Moroccan-inspired details, and the overall setting feels warm and inviting. It is not a loud or chaotic dining experience, which can make it a nice break from the crowds in World Showcase.

Spice Road Table is also a good option when you are not necessarily looking for a heavy meal. If your group wants to share small plates, enjoy a drink, and take in the view, this restaurant fits that perfectly.

Reservations and Planning

Reservations are recommended for Spice Road Table, especially if you are hoping to dine at a specific time of day or during a busy travel season.

You can make reservations through the My Disney Experience app or on Disney’s website. Since Spice Road Table is located inside EPCOT, valid theme park admission is required.

This restaurant can work well for a late lunch, dinner, or an afternoon break. If you are visiting during an EPCOT festival, you may be eating your way around the booths, so Spice Road Table might be better as a drink and appetizer stop.

When there is not a festival going on, Spice Road Table becomes an even better choice because it gives you a flavorful, shareable meal option inside World Showcase.

Meal Pricing at Spice Road Table

Spice Road Table is generally more affordable than many signature or prix fixe Disney dining options because the menu is focused on small plates.

Current small plates on Disney’s menu include several options in the $10 to $15 range, including the bread service, hummus fries, cauliflower, lamb kefta, and spicy shrimp.

Of course, the final price depends on how many plates your group orders and whether you add drinks. If you are ordering several dishes and cocktails, the total can still add up quickly.

However, I like that Spice Road Table gives you flexibility. You can stop in for a drink and one or two plates. Or you can order several items and make it more of a full meal!

For EPCOT, this can be a nice middle-ground dining option. It feels more relaxing than grabbing quick service. And it doesn’t have to be as expensive or time-consuming as a full table service dinner.

Using the Disney Dining Plan at Spice Road Table

Check out the Spice Road Table menu page to learn more about dining here using the Disney Dining Plan. It costs (1) Table Service Dining Credit per person. Each diner on the Disney Dining Plan gets:

  • 2 small plates
  • One nonalcoholic beverage (or an alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 years or older)

And the entire party shares:

  • Tagine
  • Dessert platter

We typically opt to pay out of pocket when dining here. This can actually work out well depending on what your group orders. Since the small plates format gives you more control over the total cost, if you just want to split a few plates it may be a better value to save up your Dining Plan Credits for a full table service restaurant.

If you are using the Disney Dining Plan and want to maximize credits, you may want to save those credits for another table service meal. Just enjoy Spice Road Table separately as a drinks-and-small-plates stop.

Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package

Spice Road Table also has an EPCOT fireworks dining package on select evenings. The package includes a prix fixe menu with your choice of 2 small plates, a shared tagine, a dessert platter, and unlimited beverages.

This package may be worth considering if you want a reserved dining experience with a view of the nighttime spectacular. However, if your main goal is just to enjoy a few small plates and drinks, a regular reservation may be the better fit. It’s only available on select evenings as well, so they may not offer it on your EPCOT day.

I would compare the package price, menu, and available times before booking to decide which option makes the most sense for your group.

Is Spice Road Table Worth It?

Spice Road Table is worth it if you are looking for beautiful views, shareable small plates, and a relaxed EPCOT dining experience.

This is not the restaurant I would choose if your group wants a traditional entrée-style meal or a highly themed character dining experience. But if you want a pretty place to sit down, order drinks, and share several flavorful dishes, Spice Road Table is a great choice.

I especially think Spice Road Table is a good fit for:

  • Couples visiting EPCOT
  • Adults looking for drinks and small plates
  • Groups who like to share appetizers
  • Guests who want a view of World Showcase Lagoon
  • A lighter meal during an EPCOT day
  • Non-festival EPCOT visits
  • Anyone who enjoys Mediterranean-inspired flavors

The bread service, spicy shrimp, and drink menu are all highlights. It is also a lovely stop when you want something that feels relaxing without committing to a large meal.

If you are visiting EPCOT and want a pretty World Showcase dining spot with light bites and a great view, Spice Road Table is definitely worth considering.

Rating Spice Road Table at EPCOT

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Spice Road Table is a wonderful EPCOT dining option when you want great views, shareable plates, and a relaxed atmosphere. It is especially nice for adults, couples, or groups who enjoy ordering several small dishes for the table. It’s not someplace that I visit on every trip, but it definitely is a great meeting location!

We love the bread service, spicy shrimp, and drink options here. The location along World Showcase Lagoon makes it feel extra special, especially when the weather is nice.

The reason I would not rate it a full 5 out of 5 for every guest is that it may not be the best fit for picky eaters or families looking for a more traditional meal. The small plates format is part of what makes it fun, but it may not work for everyone.

Overall, Spice Road Table is a beautiful and enjoyable EPCOT restaurant that I love to stop by, especially when there are no festivals going on and our group wants to share light bites.
