Pack a mix of light t-shirts, long sleeves, a cozy sweatshirt or spirit jersey, and a lightweight jacket for those chillier park mornings.

Comfortable walking shoes are a must, and if you’re staying late for fireworks or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’ll be glad you brought a warm layer or even a blanket scarf.
What’s the Weather Like in December at Disney World?
While the sunshine often shines bright during the day in December, mornings and nights can dip into the 50s (or cooler). Layering is key! With Florida’s unpredictable winter weather, packing can be tricky.

December Specific Packing Essentials
Packing for Disney World in December means preparing for a little bit of everything! Start with comfortable park outfits like t-shirts and legging. Or for a dressier look, a lightweight dress works great!

Then add a lightweight jacket, sweatshirt, or spirit jersey for cooler times of day. A packable rain jacket or poncho is also a smart addition. Rain showers can still pop up even in winter.

Don’t forget cozy accessories! A pair of gloves, a warm headband or beanie, and a scarf can make waiting for fireworks at night much more comfortable. It may seem like you shouldn’t need winter gear in Florida. However something about it being 40 degrees while standing next to a palm tree just feels extra chilly!Â

For shoes, bring a few pairs of comfortable walking shoes to alternate between each day. And I like bringing a few different theme park bags to alternate between to match my outfits.
