During February, the Festival of the Arts is in full swing over at EPCOT for most of the month. There are also cheer competitions happening at the Wide World of Sports, and the Princess Half Marathon is at the end of the month.

At the beginning of the month it can still be a bit chilly, then it will get warmer as the month goes on!

What’s the Weather Like in February at Disney World?

It’s typically pretty sunny during February and you’ll usually encounter comfortable temperatures in the 70s during the day. In the early mornings and evenings it may be a bit chilly, so layering will still be important throughout most of the month.

I typically bring leggings and denim jackets to help layer my outfits during this time of year. Plus, with Valentine’s Day being right in the middle of the month, there is a great opportunity to wear a fun heart print dress. Layer a cardigan over it if needed!

And rain is always possible in Florida! Pack a poncho or compact umbrella to have handy in your theme park bag. You’ll also want to make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes. I like to bring at least two pairs of shoes to alternate between.

What’s Happening at Disney World in February

While February can be a quieter month since there are no major holidays, there are still lots of activities happening!

Through February 23, 2026, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be happening! This artistic festival is bright, colorful, and lots of fun!

You’ll see lots of art, be able to try special cuisine at the Food Studio locations, and even be able to meet artists!

This festival is fun for the whole family! And if you have kids that love art, this will be a great opportunity for them! And they have lots of fun menu items kids will love too!

Also during February, Disney World is home to a National Cheerleading Association cheer tournament in early February and the Princess Half Marathon is happening at the end of the month. So while there aren’t major holidays during the month, these events along with President’s Day may see heavier crowds.

February Specific Packing Essentials

Packing for Disney World in February means arriving prepared with layers! Temperatures can vary widely depending on which part of the month you’ll be there. Start with comfortable park outfits like t-shirts and legging. Or for a dressier look, a lightweight dress that you can layer over works great!

Then add a lightweight jacket, cardigan, sweatshirt, or spirit jersey for cooler times of day. A packable rain jacket or poncho is also a smart addition at any time of year. Rain showers can still pop up even in winter.

If you’ll be there towards the end of the month, temperatures will start climbing and you’ll likely not need your extra layers for most of the day!
