With lively entertainment, hearty comfort food, and a welcoming atmosphere, Hoop-Dee-Doo is one of those classic Disney experiences you’ll want to enjoy again and again.

This was one of those shows that we had waited to try even after multiple visits to Disney World. If you’re staying at Fort Wilderness or even if you just want a unique experience, I definitely recommend booking this one for something a bit different during your Disney trip!
What is Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue?
Located inside Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is one of the longest running dinner shows in the United States (since 1974!). It’s easy to see why it’s stood the test of time!

It combines Western themed musical comedy with a family style feast that will leave you full and smiling. Guests are treated to a hilarious performance filled with singing, dancing, and audience interaction. All while you dine on an all you care to enjoy dinner served right at your table.

We decided to kick off our Fort Wilderness stay with a dinner reservation at Hoop-Dee-Doo, and it turned out to be the perfect choice!
The performers were incredibly talented and engaging, bringing so much energy to the stage and even involving guests in the show! From the moment the curtain went up to the final bow, it was non stop fun. Our whole group was laughing, clapping along, and completely immersed in the performance.

It’s located right near the quick service at Fort Wilderness Resort. If you’re staying there with a golf cart, there is plenty of golf cart parking right outside!

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Menu Selections
Another one of the highlights of the evening was, without a doubt, the food! The meal is served family style, and they will bring out more helpings of anything you’d like additional servings at the table.

The menu features fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, cornbread, and salad. We enjoyed the full spread!

Even people in our family that don’t eat much meat thought the ribs and chicken were great!

There’s also the dessert, a giant strawberry shortcake! It’s a showstopper in itself, and a sweet way to end the night. The food was flavorful, comforting, and a great value for a Disney dining experience.

This is the perfect way to kick off your trip at Fort Wilderness! It really set the tone for our time there!

Hoop-Dee-Doo is a popular experience and can book up quickly, especially during peak travel seasons. You’ll want to be sure to make reservations early to get your preferred category of seating and dining time. There are three show times, 4pm, 6:15, and 8:30pm. Each show lasts around two hours.

This is also one meal at Walt Disney World that you prepay at the time of booking. So be prepared to pay the entire meal cost (including gratuities) at the time of making your reservation.
You can make reservations at the standard timeframe of 60 days before the dining date (plus length of stay up to 10 days for Disney Resort guests). During busy times you’ll want to make sure to get your reservation at the beginning of your booking window.
Meal Pricing at Hoop-Dee-Doo
When planning your evening at Hoop‑Dee‑Doo Musical Revue, pricing is based on seating categories and includes both tax and gratuity.
Currently, Category 1 tickets, the main floor tables closest to the stage, are priced around $78 per adult (ages 10+) and $45 per child (ages 3–9). Category 2, which offers good views from slightly elevated or rear balcony areas, costs about $74 for adults and $41 for kids.

Finally, Category 3, the more affordable balcony seating on the sides, runs about $70 for adults and $40 for children.
I booked our dinner show fairly close to our travel week and we ended up in Category 2 seating. We had slight obstruction of view from a pole, but every seat in the house has a decent view of the stage. Plus, the performers move around the room during the show. Category 1 has the clearest view, any of the seating options are great to enjoy the show!
