Planning for the Holidays at Disney World | Most Magical Time of Year

It’s the most magical time of year and Disney is the perfect place to celebrate! The holidays at Walt Disney World bring an exciting lineup of special events. Along with tons of festive decorations, and seasonal entertainment across all four theme parks and resorts. It’s one of my favorite times to visit because of all of the extra magic!

As you’re thinking about planning a visit during the holidays, remember that it can be one of the busiest times of year to visit! So it will be important to plan out your “must do” activities for each day.

Also, there are times that you can visit in November and December that are a bit less busy, choosing a week that is earlier in the months that doesn’t fall on a holiday week can help mitigate crowds.

Holidays at Disney World Planning Tips

Beginning in early November and continuing through December, you can experience after hours holiday parties like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There’s also  cultural celebrations at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays, which is included with your regular theme park admission. 

Each theme park features unique decor, themed food and beverages, and limited time merchandise.

Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs also get into the festive spirit with a  showcase of stunning Christmas trees, gingerbread displays, and free seasonal activities. 

At Magic Kingdom, these holiday treats are available during regular theme park hours and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom is the holiday celebration of the season for families! You can enjoy exclusive entertainment, a festive parade, themed treats, and on Main Street, U.S.A. you can even see snow falling!

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights brings a glamorous twist to the season. With live music, special dining options, and a vintage Hollywood flair, this after-hours event delivers a festive blend of sparkle and sophistication. This event is great for adults, but also features kid friendly entertainment and characters.

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays allows you to experience how cultures around the world celebrate this joyful season. From holiday storytellers to the beloved Candlelight Processional and international food booths, it’s a celebration that highlights unity, tradition, and flavor.
