If you’re looking for one of the most entertaining dining spots at Walt Disney World, Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge should be at the top of your list. This family friendly restaurant is famous for its hearty all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets, bottomless milkshakes, and hilarious antics from the servers that will have the whole family laughing through your meal.

Where is Whispering Canyon Cafe Located?
You’ll find Whispering Canyon Cafe right inside the lobby of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The rustic, cozy lodge setting makes the perfect backdrop for a meal filled with comfort food and fun.
Even if you’re not staying at Wilderness Lodge, it’s easy to get there by taking a boat from Magic Kingdom or a bus from other Disney resorts. We’ve eaten here both when we were staying at Wilderness Lodge or at other times when we were staying at other Disney Resorts. It’s a fun stop worth visiting Wilderness Lodge.
What Makes Whispering Canyon Cafe Special?
This restaurant is in a unique category at Disney World. Whispering Canyon is known for its playful, sassy servers who keep the energy high and guests entertained. Be prepared for jokes, pranks, and lots of laughs! (Especially if you ask for ketchup!) It’s a great location for older kids that like to joke around.
If you’d prefer a more toned down vibe, just let your server know, and they’ll keep things quieter at your table.
It’s a similar idea to ‘50s Prime Time Cafe where there is an ambiance of sassiness to your time there. Although within recent years it does seem like Whispering Canyon Cafe has settled down a bit, asking for ketchup is still an experience.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is open for brunch and dinner daily. While Whispering Canyon Cafe is best known for its all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets. The restaurant also has a full menu with plenty of delicious options for guests who prefer to order individually.
You’ll find hearty entrees like barbecue sandwiches, burgers, salads, and smoked meats. There’s also comfort food favorites that fit the rustic lodge setting. Ordering off the menu is a great choice if you don’t want such a large portion or if different members of your family have varied tastes.
We love going to brunch here when you’re looking for something different in the middle of the day. One of my kids especially enjoys the avocado toast, and I typically order an omelet.
It’s nice to know that Whispering Canyon offers both the famous skillets and an a la carte menu so everyone can find something they will enjoy.
Meal Pricing at Whispering Canyon Cafe
Meal pricing at Whispering Canyon Cafe is very reasonable compared to many other table service restaurants at Walt Disney World, making it a great value for families.
The all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets generally range from around $38-$45 per adult and $20-$25 per child. These skillets includes unlimited refills and hearty portions that are perfect for sharing.
Entrees ordered off the menu typically run between $18-$28, with plenty of variety to fit different appetites.
Considering the quality of the food, generous serving sizes, and the lively entertainment that comes with the dining experience, we think Whispering Canyon Cafe offers one of the best values for a sit down meal at Disney World.
Making Reservations for Whispering Canyon Cafe
This is really one dining reservation that you can typically always find a reservation. I typically will make a reservation at the last minute. We always recommend that you make a reservation to help cut down on wait times. Also so you know you will have a seat at your desired dining time.

Why Families Will Love Whispering Canyon Cafe
Whispering Canyon is a memorable meal that families will love if you’re into light hearted shenanigans and a bit of joking around. Between the delicious food, funny antics, and interactive fun for kids, it’s one of those restaurants where memories are made.
It’s also a great option if you’re taking a break from the parks. This is a great dining reservation that feels like part of the Disney magic, without needing a park ticket.
Our family enjoys these kinds of laid back experiences. It especially works well if you have older tweens or teens. Just like ‘50s Prime Time Cafe though, you’ll want to know what you’re booking before you arrive!

Whispering Canyon Cafe gets top marks from us! We really enjoy this meal and it’s a great value in our opinion as well! Whispering Canyon Cafe not only has a fun atmosphere, but the food selection is good enough to keep us coming back here time and time again.
This is a great option if you’ll be staying at Wilderness Lodge, but we also enjoy stopping by here even if we are staying at a different Disney Resort. It’s easy to get to from Magic Kingdom, and makes for a fun meal during your trip!
