We experienced this event during our stay at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness, and it was truly a highlight of our trip.

It’s relaxed, entertaining, and best of all… free to attend!
What is Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long?
Each night at Fort Wilderness, guests can gather around the campfire for a lively sing along hosted by a cowboy style performer. Families can join in singing classic campfire songs, clap along to the music, and enjoy a wholesome Disney evening under the stars.

This is a really neat way to interact with characters in a casual way! Chip and Dale come out to meet guests, pose for photos, and interact throughout the sing along. Unlike the busier meet and greet spots in the parks, this character interaction feels extra special because it’s so relaxed and personal.

This evening activity is open to all Disney guests too! So you can even stop by if you’re not staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Check out our other favorite ideas for free things to do at Disney World in this article!
Campfire Treats: Marshmallows, S’mores, and Snacks
No campfire is complete without marshmallows! Guests can roast marshmallows over the open fire pits before and during the sing along.

You’re welcome to bring your own supplies, but we opted to purchase the $10 S’mores Kit from the Chuckwagon Snack Bar. It came with enough supplies for our kids to share, and they loved making gooey s’mores while enjoying the music.

The snack bar also offers other treats and drinks, making it easy to grab a quick bite without having to leave the event.
Why Families Will Love This Event
If you’re looking for something special to do on a resort or rest day, this is a great way to end your evening! It happens most evenings at Disney’s Fort Wilderness at 8:00pm.

You can check the times during your visit by looking at the Disney World calendar here!
We love Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long for many reasons:
- It’s Free: You don’t need a park ticket to enjoy it. The event is open to all Disney World guests, not just those staying at Fort Wilderness.
- Laid-Back Atmosphere: After busy park days, this casual setting is the perfect way to unwind.
- Character Interactions: Meeting Chip and Dale in such a fun, low-stress environment is a great memory for kids (and adults, too!).
- Family Bonding: From singing songs to roasting marshmallows, this is a true family experience.

This was a memorable part of our stay at Fort Wilderness. Even our older kids enjoyed it!
Movie Under the Stars
After the sing along, families can stick around for an outdoor Disney Movie Under the Stars. A different film is shown each night, making it a great bonus to the evening. Our kids loved settling in with their s’mores to watch a Disney movie outdoors. It felt like the perfect way to wrap up the day.

There is a different movie playing each day, and they have the movie schedule posted on the path towards the pool!

You can plan on stopping by to watch a movie on specific nights of your trip, or make this a nightly routine during a stay at Fort Wilderness!
How to Get to Fort Wilderness Resort
Getting to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is easiest if you’re coming from Magic Kingdom, where you can hop on a direct boat that takes you straight to the resort’s marina.

From there, take the internal bus down to the Meadow Swimming Pool stop.

If you’re visiting from another Disney theme park, you’ll want to take the bus from the theme park to Fort Wilderness. This will have you arriving at the main bus stop area. From here take the internal bus again to the Meadow Swimming Pool area.

There are no direct resort to resort buses, so if you’re traveling from another Disney resort, you’ll also need to transfer at a theme park or Disney Springs to reach Fort Wilderness.
Make sure to allow enough time to transfer in all of these scenarios. I would allow 45 minutes to 1 hour for travel to ensure you get to Fort Wilderness on time.
Extra Magic During Your Time at Walt Disney World
Our family absolutely loved attending Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. It’s a one-of-a-kind Disney experience that doesn’t require a theme park ticket.
