Disney Destiny Dining | Guide to All 3 Rotational Restaurants
One of the highlights of our Disney Destiny cruise was the rotational dining experience! When you sail on Disney Cruise Line, they have a unique approach to dining! Each night you rotate to a different dining room, and your dining team rotates with you! We loved the variety of dining experiences on this ship and had an excellent experience!

Our Disney Destiny Rotational Dining guide for families below will help you plan for these experiences! We’ve included menu information and look at some of the dishes. Plus we even have some tips for what outfits to wear to the dinners! The restaurants on the Disney Destiny help bring together your family every night!
How Dining Works on the Disney Destiny
One of the unique things about Disney cruises are their rotational dining for dinners! We love this experience and being able to try out a number of different restaurants on the cruise. Dining is a highlight of our experiences at Walt Disney World and that is also true of our experiences on Disney Cruise Line!

Each night you will go to your assigned dining room, and you servers will go with you! That way you are seeing the same team each night and they can learn your preferences as the week goes on. We enjoy the high level of quality and service that we’ve experienced on Disney cruises.
On the Disney Destiny, we were assigned each dining room one night on our 4-night sailing, and one restaurant we repeated for Pirate Night.

Our rotation was 1223 – meaning that we went to the restaurants in that order during our 4-night cruise. With Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King being our 1 restaurant, 1923 being our 2 restaurant, and Worlds of Marvel being our 3 restaurant.
Your dining order will be assigned to you on embarkation day, and you can find your dining room for the evening on your digital Navigator in the Disney Cruise app. These restaurants are all included with your Disney Cruise experience! And there is no additional charge for the meals, unless you want to order a specialty drink.
Early Dining Versus Late Dining
There are two main dining times offered on Disney Cruise ships. They can be referred to first seating and second seating, or early dining and late dining. Early dining is offered around 5:45pm and late dining is around 8:15pm. For our family, early dining is the best fit and we make sure to try to request this time ahead of our sailing.

If the early dining is full on your sailing, you may be able to waitlist for the earlier time and move to that time if there are openings. Our family has tried the later dining one time on a cruise and it didn’t work out for us at all. For some families that are used to eating at a later time, this may be less of an issue. If you’re used to eating around that 5:45pm time when you’re at home though, eating at a the late dining time may be a struggle.
On our Disney Destiny cruise we did get assigned the first seating dining time and that worked great for our group! I personally live in the Central time zone and this dining time aligned with our natural rhythms. This allowed us to eat around the time we are typically used to eating, and then time to go enjoy a show after dinner. We also go to bed fairly early, so it allowed us to head to bed around 9:30pm to 10pm on some evenings, without having a full stomach from just having had dinner!

Which time will be the best for your family will depend on what time zone you’re coming from and what time you’re typically used to eating dinner. Make sure to request the time that would be your preference when you book, because changing it closer to your sailing will be more difficult.
Disney Destiny Rotational Dining Restaurants
There are three main restaurants that you’ll rotate between on the Disney Destiny. You’ll receive what order you’ll be dining at them on your Navigator when you embark the ship.

Our dining rotation had us at all of the restaurants once, and 1923 we were at a second time for Pirate Night.
Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King
Our first night on the ship we had dinner at Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King! This is a show restaurant that has live music and entertainment throughout your meal!
During the show, singers, drummers, and dancers share the story of the Lion King! You’ll recognize some familiar songs here! And there are a few new ones as well.

We loved having a front row seat to all of the action! Our table happened to be right next to the stage! There are tables on each side of the stage and while every table has different views, everyone in the restaurant will be able to hear the show clearly!

This will be a memorable celebration that your family will enjoy no matter what night of the cruise your seating here is! We thought the food and flavors were excellent, and we also enjoyed meeting our dining team that would be with us throughout the sailing here too!
1923
Dinner at 1923 is an elegant affair! We had two distinct menus when rotating to this restaurant. One night was the regular 1923 menu, and the other was our Pirate Night!

Our second night on the cruise and third nights on the cruise were at 1923. The first night was the regular 1923 menu, although it was Halloween on the High Seas night on the cruise. There were some special Halloween themed desserts with the meal!

Our second time on the cruise was our Pirate Night. On this night everyone across the entire ship has the same menu, no matter which restaurant you’re in!

I typically always order the same thing on Pirate Night. ‘Jack’s Treasure-of-the-Seas’ works well for me because I love both shrimp and scallops!
Worlds of Marvel
Worlds of Marvel is a fun and interactive space on the Disney Destiny. We had dinner here on our fourth night! At dinner you’ll use your “Quantum Core” device at the table to interact with the screens and answer trivia questions. Do note that these stay on the table, but if you love the Quantum Core, they do have a sipper cup you can purchase to bring home!

The show that you’ll see on the shorter Disney Destiny cruises is a Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix! This is a fun and interactive show, and especially great if you love Guardians of the Galaxy! There will be trivia from all of the major Marvel movies though!

This restaurant has started to become one of my favorites, because it is interactive but you can still have conversation over dinner. So it combines a lot of great elements in one! It also helps that our family are Marvel fans, so if you’re a fan I also recommend wearing some Marvel gear to this one too!
Disney Destiny Restaurant Menus
Here’s a look at the different menus from our nights on the Disney Destiny! Do note that menus are subject to change and these photos were taken in September 2026. Also, I normally try to get the regular menus, but a few of these are the allergy friendly menus!
Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King Menu

Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King was not only a great show, but it was a fantastic meal too! The dishes were all flavorful! My picks were the Peri Peri Shrimp and Sirloin Steak! One of my dining partners had the Ice Cream Sundae and it had an adorable themed chocolate on top!
1923: Standard Menu Evening (Allergy Menu Shown)

We picked so many great options on our first night at 1923! Every time I ordered a beef dish on the cruise it was excellent! I ordered
1923: Pirate’s Night Menu

Pirate Night is always a fun night because there is pirate themed entertainment on the ship! And we like to dress up on this evening too! So it’s fun that there is a themed menu this night as well. You’ll have this same menu on Pirate Night, no matter which restaurant you’re dining in!
Worlds of Marvel: Fit for a Hero Menu (Allergy Menu Shown)

My favorite item here was actually the appetizer! I ordered the hearts of palm salad, which was delicious! And if you love scallops, the Pan-Seared Scallops were also prepared perfectly!
We’ve highlighted a number of our selections from the menus above as well! Do note that some dishes shown were altered for a soy intorelance. And other items were “regular” dinner items my traveling partners were kind enough to let me get photos of their food!
Which Disney Destiny Restaurant is the Best?
Of course this is purely subjective, but one question that comes up is which restaurant is the best on the Disney Destiny!
We thought every restaurant had its highlights, and which one will be the best fit for your family will come down to your individual preferences and tastes.

The show in Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King was definitely a highlight! I really enjoy these show restaurants on the Wish Class ships!
Worlds of Marvel was another surprise hit for me! We had previously sailed on the Disney Wish right after it started sailing, and I think they were still dialing this experience in at that time. On this cruise, Worlds of Marvel exceeded my expectations on every front! The food was amazing! And I enjoy the trivia here!

1923 is a consistently good experience! It feels just like the 1923 on the Disney Wish, if you’ve been on one of the other Wish class ships. The food is excellent and it is a nice relaxing experience.
As for which one was the “best”, I do think Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King being an exclusive experience aboard the Disney Destiny makes it extra special! I absolutely love all of these show restaurants across the different ships, and I think it makes that one a top one to look forward to!
Pirate Night Dining on the Disney Destiny
Pirate Night is one of our favorite nights on a Disney Cruise that goes to the Caribbean! It’s full of tons of fun, including Pirate Night deck parties, pirate activities, and a special dinner menu that everyone on the ship has at their restaurant that evening!

Instead of missing one of the regular menus at a restaurant, you’ll rotate to one of your restaurants a third time, and this extra evening will be the special Pirate Night menu!
Pirate Night Menu on the Disney Destiny (Allergy Menu)

If you are interested in seeing the Allergy Menu, it is featured above. The allergy menus note which “Top 10 Allergens” that meal is suitable for, and your meal will be brought out separately from all of the other meals at the table.
Pirate Night will typically fall during the middle of your cruise, and you can find out ahead of time which night this will be by checking the Onboard Activities for “Pirate Makeovers”! These are typically only offered on Pirate Night!
Our Pirate Night was offered on our Castaway Cay port day, and this was a perfect way to end a spectacular day in the Caribbean!
Is the Food Good on the Disney Destiny?
So after all of that information… for families, is the food good on the Disney Destiny? And yes, we think that families will find lots of great options to eat at these restaurants!

Disney Cruise Line is designed with families in mind, and we thoguht the experience was fantastic for everyone in the family. My kids have grown up going on Disney Cruises and we enjoy having the dinners be a time when everyone comes together in the evenings.
The nice thing is that there is a variety of options on the menus. From specific flavors to kid friendly favorites. Disney Cruise Line will definitely try to make sure everyone is happy with their meals.

We find that one our Disney trips we are able to find meals that meet everyone’s needs and unique tastes!
Dining with Allergies on the Disney Destiny
Speaking of intolerances and allergies, this is one of the things that keeps us coming back to Disney experiences. They have specially designed menus already in place to meet the needs of the top 10 allergies. And a system in place for ordering the meals.

When you let your servers know about your allergy, they will make sure the Allergy Chef is aware and that person’s food will be prepared separately from the rest of the table. On this cruise, I had to order my meals from the allergy menu the night before for the next night’s dinner. This helped with the flow of having her food come out with ours during the cruise.
I have a soy intolerance, and using these system helped me avoid anything that my body would reject. Which makes my trip much more enjoyable! By using the allergy menus, I felt great our entire trip and was able to avoid some of my food triggers.
Make sure to talk to your serving team on the first night of your cruise, to let them know of any allergy or intolerance concerns you have!
Tips for Dining on the Disney Destiny
A few things to keep in mind if this will be one of your first Disney Cruises! It will help your dining time go smoother!
- Don’t skip your rotational dining! This is a big part of the Disney Cruise Line experience, and we enjoy bringing the family together at dinner every night. If you’re looking at booking one of the paid dining experiences at Palo or Enchanté, we recommend booking those for brunch during a day at sea!
- Arrive on time for dinner! It’s easy to get caught up in activities around the ship, but the dining team is on a tight schedule with getting multiple seatings through the dining room.
- You can order more than one item! It’s a cruise and it’s included. If you see two appetizers you want to try, get them both!
- Cruise casual attire fine all of the nights in the rotational dining rooms. There may be some optional dress up nights on your cruise, but you’re welcome to wear cruise casual attire to rotational dining every night.
Dining is one of those things about the cruise experience that I love, because it’s so easy! So just get there on time and enjoy!
What Should You Wear to Dinner on the Disney Destiny?
Planning my outfits for Disney cruises is one of my favorite things to do, but it’s definitely not something to stress over!

Found in photo: Dress
We had two optional dress up nights on the 4-night Caribbean cruises that included Pirate Night and Halloween on the High Seas Night.

Found in photo: Shirt / Skirt / Belt
(I easily made this skirt for pirate night by attaching the bandanas Disney gives you over a handkerchief skirt!)
Attire for all of the evenings can be “cruise casual”, which roughly equates to theme park casual. Shorts and shirts, sundresses, and the like are all fine for the rotational dining restaurants.

The fun part is you can wear outfits to match the dining experiences if you would like! The best part is that it is optional and only if this is something that appeals to you!

Dining was one of the highlights aboard the Disney Destiny! Sailing on this ship again is high on my to do list, because we missed some of the ship exclusive shows. (And this is such a fantastic ship for outfits too!)
