Here’s a quick overview of what to expect at Disney Springs to getting started:

Parking and Transportation

Parking at Disney Springs is free, and there are several parking garages and surface lots to choose from. If you’re driving, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the nearest available parking. There is free parking at both the Lime Garage and Orange Garage, follow the signs to the first available and open garage.

If you are arriving from a Disney resort, there are also several transportation options available, with buses from most resorts and boat taxes available in the Disney Springs Resort area, including Port Orleans – Riverside and Port Orleans – French Quarter Resorts.

There are not buses available from the Walt Disney World theme parks to Disney Springs, nor are there buses to get from Disney Springs to any of the theme parks. Recommended connections are as follows:

Theme Parks to Disney Springs

  • Magic Kingdom to Disney Springs: Walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Bus stop – take bus to Disney Springs
  • EPCOT to Disney Springs: From International Gateway exit at EPCOT, take Disney Skyliner to Riviera Resort and take the bus to Disney Springs. Or exit at International Gateway and walk to Beach Club Resort’s bus deport, take bus to Disney Springs. (Longer walk to Beach Club Resort’s bus area.)
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney Springs: Take Skyliner to Riviera Resort, and take bus to Disney Springs. Or, take the boat from Hollywood Studios to one of the resort stops and grab a bus to Disney Springs. (Shortest walk from boat ramp will be either the Boardwalk or Beach Club Resort stops.)
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom to Disney Springs: My favorite way, is to take a bus from Disney’s Animal Kingdom to either Port Orleans – Riverside or Port Orleans – French Quarter, and then take the boat transportation from that resort over to Disney Springs. This will take a longer amount of time. Your quickest will likely be to take the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge, and then take a bus at AKL to Disney Springs.

If you’re looking for a shopping experience like no other, Disney Springs Orlando is the place to be. With a wide variety of stores and boutiques, you’re sure to find something you love.

Below are some of the best shopping experiences at Disney Springs.

World of Disney

The World of Disney is the ultimate shopping destination for Disney fans. This massive store spans over 50,000 square feet and offers everything from clothing to home decor to souvenirs.

You’ll find all your favorite Disney characters here, and the store is constantly updating its merchandise to keep up with the latest trends. It’s not just a gift shop to pick out souvenirs, but truly a part of the Disney Spring experience.

And the World of Disney store is where you want to look for Disney merchandise you may have seen at other locations and didn’t pick up the first time around!

The Marketplace is the heart of Disney Springs, and it has some of the classic stores that the shopping area is know for. You’ll find the year round Christmas store, Disney’s Days of Christmas, and also a toy store just for kids!

Once Upon a Toy has some great photo spots just outside the store entrance with Buzz Lightyear and Mr. Potato Head. The toy store has a slightly different selection from World of Disney and has a more traditional selection of (Disney themed) toys.

Town Center

Town Center is the newest section of Disney Springs, and it’s quickly become a shopper’s paradise.

This area is home to the LEGO Store, which offers a wide variety of LEGO sets and accessories. You’ll also find speciality stores like Ron Jon Surf Shop, Sephora, Lilly Pulitzer and Coach in this area.

This area is home to some of the most high-end stores in the complex, including Anthropologie, Lululemon, and Tommy Bahama. Whether you’re looking for clothing, accessories, or home decor, you’re sure to find something you love in Town Center.

When Disney Springs was formerly Downtown Disney, this was the area that used to be called Pleasure Island. Now completely reimagined, this space is family friendly and a great spot to spend an afternoon grabbing some souvenirs!

Tips and Recommendations

Best Times to Visit

When planning your visit to Disney Springs, it’s important to consider the time of day and day of the week. Weekends tend to be busier, so if you’re looking for a more relaxed experience, consider visiting during the week.

Additionally, the morning hours (before 11am) tend to be less crowded than the afternoon and evening hours. If you’re planning on visiting during the holiday season or special events, expect larger crowds and plan accordingly.

Dining Reservations

Disney Springs offers a wide variety of dining options, from quick service to fine dining. To ensure that you get a table at your desired restaurant, it’s recommended to make a reservation in advance.

You can make a reservation up to 60 days in advance either online or by calling the restaurant directly. If you’re looking for a more spontaneous dining experience, keep in mind that some restaurants offer walk-in availability, but expect longer wait times during peak hours.

Disney Springs offers a variety of exclusive experiences that are worth checking out. For example, the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar offers a unique view of Disney Springs and a variety of exclusive Coca-Cola beverages.

Our Disney Springs Must Do Experiences

So as you can see, there is so much to see, do, and eat at Disney Springs – you’re not able to do everything in one visit!

Here are our top recommendations on what to do if you only have one afternoon to spend at Disney Springs:

Favorite Disney Springs Stores

You’d have to plan an entire vacation to see and do everything at Disney Springs, so these are my top places that I always make a point of trying to visit when I’m there.

Found in photo: Believe in the Magic Shirt / Blue Skirt / Sunglasses

World of Disney is a must see when you’re at Disney Springs. Stop in here to see the large selection of Disney merchandise.

Amorette’s Patisserie is my favorite place to stop for a treat, I always pick up a little cake at least once during my Disney trips!

Marketplace Co-Op is a great place to visit if you love purses and accessories. I go here to look at Pandora bracelet charms and Dooney & Bourke Disney purse releases.

Days of Christmas Store is a fun, year-round store with festive items to help you get ready for the merriest season of the year!

Swirls on the Water offers Dole Whip treats, from mini cones to a trio of flavors, if you love Dole Whips this is a great one for the whole family!

Marketplace Snacks, also offers Dole Whip treats with a twist, they are served with waffles and toppings for an over the top dessert the whole family can enjoy!

Havaianas offers a fantastic selection of sandals, and they are on of our family’s favorite flip-flop brands! We usually always pick up a pair (or two!) when we are at Disney Springs!

Sephora may not seem like an obvious selection of somewhere to stop when there are so many other unique stores to visit, but I love that I can stock on any makeup or skincare essentials that I may be running low, right when I’m at Disney Springs! If I am using a checked bag, I just purchase the full size and then fly it back home in my larger checked suitcase!

Favorite Disney Springs Restaurants

There are too many restaurants at Disney Springs to try them all on one trip, but I have a few favorites that we like to head to when we want a great meal when we are there!

Boathouse Restaurant is one of my favorites to circle back around to, I love the ambiance – and the rolls! They also have a great drink with a little floating rubber ducky, and I love a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously. This is one I like to return to occasionally for a fun evening out. (Date night or family friendly!)

Growing up, I used to go to Planet Hollywood (when it was Downtown Disney) quite frequently, and I remember thinking it was a really neat place to eat. It has tons of memorabilia inside and is a unique dining experience. If you have kids and have never eaten there, it may be worth trying out while you’re at Disney Springs!

Planning Your Day at Disney Springs

Disney Springs offers a variety of options to experience a different side of Disney World. I love that I can stop by to pick up a unique snack, stock up on Sephora favorites, and grab some souvenirs from the World of Disney – all in one location!

I usually try to plan a stop at Disney Springs at least once on every trip to Walt Disney World. One of the best things about a stop at Disney Springs is that you can spend as much or little time there as you like! I hope this has helped pick out some of the top places your family will want to see at
