The restaurant is set among the backdrop of the Grand Floridian and has easy access via the monorail from Magic Kingdom. 1900 Park Fare is a great meal choice on a Magic Kingdom park day to end your evening at this monorail resort location.
This meal is a great option for families that enjoy buffets. Especially if you want to see one of the characters here that are harder to find in the theme parks, this is a great meal to book!
1900 Park Fare Dining Experience
The dinner at 1900 Park Fare is a buffet style meal. Where you can go up and get all you care to eat servings of your favorite menu items.
Characters you’ll meet here*: Princess Tiana, Mirabel, Aladdin (Prince Ali), and Cinderella
Set in a dining room just off the Grand Floridian lobby, the atmosphere at 1900 Park Fare is upscale but comfortable. Our kids visited 1900 Park Fare as preschoolers, and I still think this is a great experience for kids of all ages.
The highlight of the meal previously was of course, Cinderella’s Step Sisters. Hilarious and rowdy, these two sisters would always make a 1900 Park Fare meal the highlight of our Disney day. With their playful banter and plentiful jokes, my girls loved cutting up with them.
The Step Sisters notably did not return to the new dining format. I did enjoy the new characters that are found here and new wishing theme. Although it does change the vibe in the restaurant quite a bit.
The highlight of dinner (other than the Strawberry Soup, let’s be honest here) was seeing Mirabel from Encanto! I was so excited to find out that she would be one of the characters meeting at the reopening 1900 Park Fare, and she was one of the main reasons I rushed to get reservations!
Mirabel Disneybound: Ruffle Shirt / Teal Skirt / Butterfly Ears
She has a fantastic story about being yourself and finding your way. I think she is a wonderful role model to those creative kids out there that just can’t see to right where they fit in.
I loved getting to interact with her, and a number of the characters even noticed – my outfit was inspired by Mirabel as well! If you have a child that particularly loves any of the characters now featured 1900 Park Fare, booking a meal here is a great way to be able to interact with them and get some fun photos!
Mirabel does currently have a meet and greet in Magic Kingdom, however the line can be very long during the day (and is often in the sun) – so I hadn’t gotten a chance to get photos with her yet! Also, Tiana’s outfit is exclusive to 1900 Park Fare and is her new outfit from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Princess Tiana also currently has a meet and greet inside Magic Kingdom at the Fairy Tale Hall. However you’ll find her there in her ball gown, and her Bayou Adventure outfit is exclusive to 1900 Park Fare!
Prince Ali is also only featured at 1900 Park Fare right now, and is a rarer character to be able to meet outside of special party nights and parades. Cinderella is the only returning character, and she fit right in with the dreamers and wishers that you’ll meet during your meal!
*It should be noted the characters are always subject to change, due to their demanding schedules!
Location of 1900 Park Fare
Inside the Grand Floridian Resort, 1900 Park Fare is easy to access from both Magic Kingdom or any of the other monorail resorts. On the day that I had my 1900 Park Fare reservation, I took the monorail loop around to the different resorts to do some shopping before finally ending up at the Grand Floridian just in time for my dining reservation.
If you will be going to the Grand Floridian from any of the other Disney World theme parks or Disney Springs, it should be easiest to use the bus transportation to get to the Grand Floridian Resort. If you will be coming from your resort, more than likely going to Magic Kingdom then transferring on to the Resort Monorail should be the quickest option.
Atmosphere at 1900 Park Fare
The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts of this character dining location. The vibe is regal, yet welcoming. I love how upbeat it is and it is a good location for getting photos with the characters. There are not any windows in the restaurant, so you’ll have to use the lighting in the room for photos.
For dinner, there is a variety of items on the buffet and you’re able to help yourself after being seated at your table!
What’s Included at 1900 Park Fare Dinner
Pricing for Dinner at 1900 Park Fare is $66 for Adults and $41 for Children (ages 3-9), children under 3 eat free at Disney dining locations that serve buffet style. This is on the pricier side for character meals, and my one dinner meal with drink and gratuity ended up being a bit over $100 for one adult.
Dinner includes items such a peel-n-eat shrimp, Tiana’s Gumbo, baked salmon, a carving station, garlic sausage, and more – along with a good helping of side dish options
The options are plentiful, and I found that I had more than enough to choose from on the menu while trying to avoid soy ingredients. If you have an allergy or intolerance, they can give you an Allergy Friendly menu, to double check the allergen ingredients of all buffet items.
Add On Options
There are a number of drink options that you can add on to your meal for an additional charge. I opted to try the Passionfruit Daiquiri, and it was delicious! I would order this one again!
Meal Options for Dietary Restrictions
1900 Park Fare offers a variety of options for guests with food allergies. Upon being seated, you can request to speak to a cast member about any additional information you may need about the meal.
The restaurant offers an allergy-friendly menu upon request, which lists all of the menu items and the top eight allergens they contain. The chefs at 1900 Park Fare are trained in allergy-safe food preparation and can help answer questions you may have about the buffet items.
1900 Park Fare Menu Highlights
In addition to being able to see a number of characters at one time, planning a character meal into your Disney World itinerary is a great way to fill up with a hearty meal! We love the buffet style meals, because it means that everyone in the family can find something they will love to eat.
Some of the menu highlights at the 1900 Park Fare Dinner included:
– Of course, the famed Strawberry Soup
– Entrees that included options like: Spice-Roasted Chicken, Turkey Breast, Prime Rib, Garlic Sausage, Tiana’s Gumbo, and Pizza
– A variety of salads: Couscous Salad; Mediterranean Kale Salad
– Bread: Focaccia with Sun-Dried Tomato and Herbs or French Rolls
– Side Dishes like green beans, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots
Yes, that is a second bowl of Strawberry Soup… don’t judge!
There was also a great dessert selection, I only opted to try a few of them due to most of them containing soy. However I’m happy to report the strawberry soup does not contain soy!
Note that menu items are subject to change and availability may vary.
Getting Reservations for 1900 Park Fare
There was a frenzy when it was announced 1900 Park Fare was returning, and all of the reservations booked up quickly. I was able to snag this dinner reservation on the announcement day, and reservations for the rest of my trip were booked up when I searched again.
As more people are able to return back to the location, I think this will start to become easier and easier to book. For upcoming trips, I’ve seen openings for both breakfast and dinner scattered throughout the trip dates.
Disney dining reservations may be made at 60 days, plus length of stay for Disney Resort guests. Since this dining experience is at a resort, you will not need any park tickets to go to your reservation. Only the reservation itself.
You can make a reservation online through the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. I recommend going right to the restaurant page and searching for only openings for that restaurant. The reservation system now allows you to search multiple days over one time period, which is quite handy when you know a specific location you would like to eat at!
We use a reservation finder service like Mouse Dining as an easy way to help you find your preferred reservation times! It scans the reservations for you and sends you an alert via text or email when a dining time that matches your preference pops up. I’ve used the Mouse Dining service numerous times to secure hard to get reservations for our trips.
Overall Rating & Experience of 1900 Park Fare Dinner
The dinner experience at 1900 Park Fare was a fun experience, and I was very glad to see this Disney dining experience back at Walt Disney World!
This used to be one of our favorite family locations for character dining, so I will definitely return with my daughters and husband for them to try out the meal as well.
The setting at the Grand Floridian is regal and wonderful way to end your day at Disney. I enjoyed the food and overall, it was tasty and there was a good variety. The highlight of the meal was the strawberry soup, I’d say the low point was the gumbo. It wasn’t as flavorful as I would expect it to be.
While the meal is it most definitely a different experience than it was before, I liked the new character mix and new theme of making wishes. I feel like it will continue developing as more people try the meal and know how to interact with the characters with wishes in mind. This is one dining experience I will be back at again!
